About Flipping Tables

A Safe Place for Christian Women in Spiritual Abuse Recovery

Flipping Tables is a Christian blog created for women healing from church betrayal, emotional manipulation, and spiritual control. If you’ve ever walked away from a church or relationship feeling silenced, ashamed, or spiritually broken… you are not alone. This space exists to support women walking through spiritual abuse recovery with honesty and sacred strength.

Why We Speak Boldly

Spiritual Abuse Recovery Bible

Many women are told to stay quiet, submit harder, or “just forgive”… even when the wounds remain open. However, Jesus never silenced hurting women. He flipped tables. He stood against injustice inside sacred spaces. At Flipping Tables, we believe speaking up is not rebellion… it’s restoration. Truth doesn’t dishonor God. On the contrary, it reveals Him.

This Blog Was Born from Lived Experience

I’m a Christian woman who knows what it feels like to be gaslit with Scripture, dismissed by the church, and expected to smile through the pain. I never stopped loving God. Even so, I had to unlearn a version of faith that left no room for boundaries or honesty. Spiritual abuse recovery isn’t about pretending things didn’t happen. It’s about healing through truth and reclaiming the real Jesus.

Healing from Spiritual Abuse Is Sacred Work

Healing doesn’t always look like breakthroughs. Sometimes it’s quiet… choosing rest, setting boundaries, or learning to trust your discernment again. Whether you’re still in survival mode or beginning to breathe again, your voice matters. God saw it. He still sees it. And He never meant for love or Scripture to be used as weapons.

Who This Blog Is For

This space is for women who feel too broken for the church but still long for Jesus. It’s for mothers raising children in truth, daughters reclaiming their voices, and survivors who feel forgotten. If you’re part of the growing number of Christian women in spiritual abuse recovery, Flipping Tables was created for you.

Our Beliefs

  • Righteous anger can be holy.
  • Your story matters more than your silence.
  • God’s love sets captives free… it never traps them.
